John-Paul Rodrigues was born on September 9, 1980 to Malita and Joe Rodrigues at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY. He was the older brother to Michael and Amanda and they all grew up in Ossining, NY. He was a happy, easy going child who went to school at St. Ann’s Parish School in Ossining until 4th grade. He then moved on to Ossining School System where he graduated from High School in 1998.
After graduating from High School John-Paul went to work for the Teamsters Union Local 456 for Lakeland Lumber. Some years later he met the girl of his dreams and hoping to have a more steady job where he could grow and eventually get married, John-Paul got into Ossining Department of Public Works. He was working as a sanitation worker when tragedy struck and John-Paul’s dreams were cut short.
John-Paul left this world on July 20, 2005 but for his family and friends he will always be around sharing his smile and kindness. Through the Scholarship, Ossining High School Students can also feel his kindness and by ensuring the safety of Public Workers we can extend his smile.
